LANL Foundation Launches National Security Workforce Graduate Scholarship

LANL Foundation Launches National Security Workforce Graduate Scholarship

The LANL Foundation has announced a new National Security Workforce Graduate Scholarship to support graduate students pursuing advanced degrees aligned with national security careers at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Beginning Spring 2026, the scholarship will provide up to eight awards annually, totaling $10,000 per student distributed over two years, for graduate students enrolled-or planning to enroll-at New Mexico colleges and universities. The program focuses on high-demand areas including nuclear and materials engineering, project and contract management, business administration, and precision instrumentation and measurement.

Dean David Jáuregui encourages all engineering students at New Mexico State University to apply, noting that the scholarship reflects the College of Engineering's strong alignment with national security workforce priorities and its commitment to supporting students pursuing advanced technical careers.

Applications are now open and will be accepted through March 1, 2026.
