NMSU MAE Department Participates in NSMMS & CRASTE for Third Consecutive Year

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at New Mexico State University is proud to participate in the 2025 National Space & Missile Materials Symposium (NSMMS) and Commercial and Government Responsive Access to Space Technology Exchange (CRASTE), marking our third consecutive year as a contributing sponsor.

This nationally recognized event brings together leaders from government, industry, and academia to advance innovation in materials, space systems, and high-speed technologies. Our continued involvement reflects the department’s growing presence in the hypersonics research community and our commitment to supporting national defense priorities.

As a Carnegie R1 research institution, NMSU is home to the Hypersonics Research Center (HypRC), where faculty and students conduct cutting-edge research in high-speed aerothermodynamics, advanced propulsion, thermal protection systems, and materials response. Participation in this event allows us to share our latest developments, connect with collaborators, and showcase the exceptional work being done by our faculty and student researchers.

We are honored to be part of a conference that plays a critical role in shaping the future of aerospace and national security, and we look forward to continued engagement with the NSMMS & CRASTES community.
