The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is proud to announce the 2025–2026 recipients of the Tim Thompson Graduate Scholarship. This prestigious award supports students pursuing a graduate degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering through the Master’s Accelerated Program (MAP). Each recipient was awarded $10,000 in recognition of their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to advancing engineering research.
The students were honored during the Spring 2025 Senior Banquet, where they were presented with commemorative giant checks. All Spring graduates also received a crystal appreciation gift from the department to celebrate their academic achievements.
Established in 2023 by NMSU alumnus and entrepreneur Tim Thompson, the scholarship fund provides financial support to students enrolled in the MAP program. Preference is given to students who completed their undergraduate studies at NMSU and graduated from a New Mexico high school.
