The curriculum for Aerospace Engineering for the first two years of study is the same as that for Mechanical Engineering. In junior and senior years, AE students will take 9-10 courses that differ from the ME curriculum. The coursework for the initial semesters includes basic engineering concepts, communication skills and laboratory procedures. As an AE’s knowledge and skill increases, the course work is more specialized. Students receive a thorough grounding in the primary areas of aerospace engineering.

Graduates of the Aerospace Engineering program will be prepared as leaders in research, design, construction and analysis of aircraft, satellites, manned and unmanned space/aerial vehicles, and the systems they incorporate.
