2023 IPS Student Stipend Application

The IPS Organizing Committee is actively seeking students to participate in the 2023 Inverse Problems Symposium on April 23-26. During the symposium, students will gain information on topics relevant to seeking employment and opportunities to speak with professionals regarding employment prospects. A novel two-part tutiorial is planned involving hypersonics (theory to experiment/instrumentation to data reduction).

A limited number of travel awards are available to students who are selected based on eligibility. Oral or poster presentations by student (or students) will receive funding priority over purely audience participation. However, we are seeking additional student support packages as employment opportunities continue to increase at SW National Labs (Sandia National Labs and Los Alamos National Lab).

Stipend Package

The 2023 IPS Student Stipend covers conference registration fee, conference approved hotel, travel, and meals*. The conference will begin with early check-in and networking at Courtyard Marriot Sunday, April 23rd and end Wednesday, April 26th at the Las Cruces Convention Center. The following expenses will be awarded to selected eligible students. Students are responsible for their means of transportation to and from their local airport and personal miscellaneous expenses.

  • Conference approved hotel (Sunday, April 23; Monday, April 24; Tuesday, April 25).
  • Meals during conference.
