Hyeongjun Park will receive the Patricia Christmore Award

Dr. Hyeongjun Park will receive the 2018-2019 Patricia Christmore Faculty Teaching Award. This award recognizes and rewards junior faculty members for excellence in teaching. The award will be presented at the NMSU Fall Convocation on August 20, 2019. Congratulations, Dr. Park!

Dr. Park started at NMSU in Spring 2018 after working as a postdoctoral fellow at the Naval Postgraduate School. He obtained a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan in 2014. His research thrusts are in robotics, unmanned vehicles, intelligent systems, and controls and he directs the RUVICON Lab.

MAE values teaching as much as research. MAE faculty members have won more than five teaching awards in the past three years including Dr. Andreas Gross who is the previous winner of the Patricia Christmore Award.
