Dr. Don Quintana has been selected as the Division Leader for Weapon Systems Division. Dr. Quintana was an MAE student and graduated with a BSME from NMSU. MAE Doctoral Student Daniel Wentzel is the Alumni Association Outstanding Graduating Graduate Student
The doctoral level recipient for the Alumni Association Outstanding Graduating Graduate Student is MAE’s Daniel Wentzel. Congratulations, Dr. Wentzel! At NMSU, Daniel worked in the area of micromechanics of materials including fibers and composites under the supervision of Dr. Igor Sevostianov. He is currently a Flight Systems Test Engineer at NASA.
MAE loses Dr. Ed Conley
Dr. Ed Conley passed away on June 28, 2018 after prolonged illness. He was with MAE for 30 years and significantly contributed to its teaching, research, and service missions. He was the students’ favorite professor and taught classes at all levels, including the popular Mechanical Design class. It was not unusual for him to be contacted…

Congratulations to Fall 2017 MAE graduates!
Congratulations to our Fall 2017 graduating class, which includes graduate students Alex Govorov and Dmytro Kuksenko! Alex Govorov successfully passed his M.S. thesis defense exam.
